(continued from other page) WE, THE PEOPLE need to start changing some of the ways that we have grown accustomed to as Americans.  We do not "deserve" anything just because we are Americans.  Our forefathers, going back many generations and some that are just beginning their American journey know and appreciate all that America has to offer and that is why they risked so much in their quest for a better life for future generations.  We need to go back to our heritage and our humble beginnings.

Personal accountability for our actions is where it begins.  Everyday, working Americans are faced with many challenges and decisions.  People make choices and have to live with them.  Government makes choices and the people have to live with them and pay for those choices.  Fiscal accountability in our government offices and corporations is at an all time low.  Tax issues plague the very officials that we have entrusted in our government offices.  What kind of example does that set?

I know that there are many difficult circumstances facing Americans and there are no simple, quick fix solutions.  It has taken us many years to get into this challenging situation and I believe that it will take years to get us out of the current situations.  Excessive government spending is NOT the solution.  This just "kicks the can down the road" to the next generation of lawmakers and taxpayers.

Our current Presidential Administration has called for change, change and more change.  And Americans voted for change.  But are we really going to get change or just more Washington politics with a new fancy wrapper?

OK, so what is the answer?  I wish the solution was simple.  It is not.  But the good news is "You can make a difference and Accomplish Great Things!"  It is time for a change; it is time for you and I to get involved; stand up for the things we believe in; let our actions set the example; and show the rest of the world that NOW is the time for America to Accomplish Great Things!

Sincerely,

Mike Berger
